The Barista Basics course run by Simon at Genovese is really worth while!
I had no prior experience in making coffee at a commercial level but now feel confidence to utilize my new skills in a cafe setting.
The course content and duration were manageable.
A lot of information was disseminated.
Topics ranged from coffee dose and grind to the behavioral characteristics of milk.
Simon, the trainer was excellent, very thorough and professional. His anecdotal information was also really enlightening!
I definitely recommend this course for anyone wanting high quality basic barista training.
Otherwise training involved a lecture with PowerPoint presentation, plenty of practical experience and a handout to take home! The training facility was spacious and set up very well with a wide range of equipment.

On behalf of the Federazione Lucana i would like to thank Simon and Genovese coffee for providing the Barista Training to four of our executive members who regularly work as barmen at the club. The training was well presented and very informative. We were made to feel very welcomed and the training area was spotlessly clean. We appreciated the practical side of the course and enjoyed drinking the coffee and cappuccinos.
